Angela's planning her very own fairytale of New York...
  •         Enormous Christmas tree
  •         Eggnog
  •         Eccentric British traditions
  •         Gorgeous man

But Santa's throwing her a few curveballs - new job (as if it's not mental enough already), new baby-craze from her best friend Jenny, and Alex determined they should grow up and settle down. Once friends start turning up uninvited on her doorstep (and leading her astray), can Angela really have a merry little Christmas? So much for happy holidays - something's got to give...

I enjoyed the I Heart series greatly and absolutely loved the characters. I have every book of the series, very proud of my collection! When it arrived at my doorstep, I jumped and had a lil cry. So. Much. Drama. It was better than receiving something from Tiffany’s, I am serious. I heart the festive cover, red and sparkly and the UK edition is a bit different from what we have in Malaysia. Very grateful that I have the UK edition, (bling, bling!).

Angela is back! Wheee! When I heard that there would be another I Heart book after I Heart London, I was over the moon because I could ‘meet’ Angie and the gang again! I thought it would be I Heart Rome or something but I was so bloody wrong. It’s Christmas themed, I Heart Christmas. I am such a kid when it comes to Christmas and I love beautiful Christmas decors and Christmassy books! Since the news about I Heart Christmas came out, I can't wait to get my fingers on a copy and swore that I'll read it before Christmas. Thanks to a lovely publicist at HC, my wish came true. The wait for I Heart Christmas was made easy with exams and revisions in between. I was already a free bird when IHC arrived so I dived straight into it with nothing to worry. I Heart London was published about 18 months ago but thank God I could remember pretty well what happened. It’s hard to forget something so amazing, you know. I caught up with the awesomest characters and their days in the city that never sleeps, New York. Lindsey has done a great job in reuniting all the characters in this festive book. Pretty cover aside, I loved the story and was hooked from the very first page. Therefore, I could tell you that my over-excitement was not greeted with disappointment! It’s fantastic and fantastic alone is not enough to describe this book. I need to think of something else. Angela Clark is back with more crazy antics and what’s up with her this time?

In I Heart Christmas, there are a lot of Christmas trees, baby plans and new homes. Pretty perfect for Angela’s first Christmas as a married woman, no? May sound perfect to many of us but not to Angie. All she wants for Christmas is to spend quality time with Alex. With Angela Clark, there's a surprise to everything but this time in I Heart Christmas, surprises land on her like bombs and left her with stress. So, her husband wants a baby, her BFF, Jenny wants a baby too and Louisa turns up at her door step with a toddler. All child related problems at once and as though that is not bad enough, Cici the bitch is back to haunt her and her making her life at work miserable. Angela has the tendency to overthink things and that worsens the whole situation. With every move, she is one step closer to Christmas, her favourite time of the year. Angela is all excited for Christmas and all ready for fun and spending time with Alex but how smooth would her plan be?

I was totally in love with this lovely Angela Clark since the day I read I Heart Paris. She’s my favourite character of all time! Team Angela all the way! I could never get enough of her craziness and her life is so full of drama to deal with. I sometimes feel as though I am talking to Lindsey when I read IHC. I can’t imagine anyone else as Angela Clark but Lindsey herself! Some of the lines had me laughing like a mad person, too funny. Angela is fluent in sarcasm and that one of the many things I love. Reading about her Manhattan adventures, her insecurities and funny conversations, I felt as if I was sucked into Angela-land and went through all of those with her. Angie has such an interesting life and I secretly want to live like her. She has it all, a charming, front man of a band husband and fab friends! Chick lit lovers would love her! From a single man, falling in love, getting engaged, getting married and ready to have a child. To me, Alex has matured a lot in I Heart Christmas. Definitely more responsible and he’s ready to settle down and taking their relationship to a whole new level. This tiny sort of detail in the story made huge impact to readers and we could see clearly the developments from book one to six. The same could be seen for Angie except she’s not ready to have a baby and she thinks she’s a baby that needs to be taken care of. She even wrote an article on that. Whoops. She’s dramatic sometimes and I would be like “That’s so me!”.

All I all, I Heart Christmas is another fab piece by Lindsey Kelk and readers wouldn’t be disappointed! The flow of this story was perfect, as always. I was so absorbed and I even brought this book with me during my vacation. I couldn’t put this book down. Very entertaining and Christmassy! Fans of Lindsey Kelk MUST get this book! It’s such a fabulous, hilarious book and this would be a perfect Christmas gift for all Chick Lit lovers. Every fan of the I Heart series should own a copy!

Merry Christmas, all! xx
