When routine driven box office assistant Samantha Smith meets the stars of Skating on Broadway her life is turned upside down.

Immediately attracted to lead skater Jimmy Llyod, Samantha does her best to deny her feelings. But when all you can do is burst out laughing and hyperventilate every time you're under pressure, keeping things under wraps is a hard task.

When the future of her beloved Civic Hall is threatened Samantha must rise to the challenge to secure its survival. Constantly scrutinised and criticised by zany sister Cleo and her brogue wearing boyfriend Jeremy, can Samantha save her job, save the Civic Hall and stop her panic attacks just long enough to give away her heart?

This is my second book by the lovely Mandy. I read it in just three days as it's a fun, light read! Very beautiful story, I tell you!

Say hello to Samantha, a shy, introverted young lady. An employee at the Civic Hall. She loves her job more than anything. When gorgeous ice skater, Jimmy Llyod appears, will he be able to melt Sam's heart?

This story flowed rather smoothly for me and BtI's another great piece of work by the talented Mandy. Really simple storyline with more than enough love. It's her style, very Lady B. There's absolutely nothing to dislike about the story. Samantha, the heroine of this story is a really awkward girl. She often finds herself in uneasy situations and doesn't know how to say appropriate things at appropriate times and worst, panic attacks! Civic Hall, her workplace is the only place she feels most comfortable in and how far would she go to save her happy place? She's a lovable character and Sam made the story real and relatable. She's not a girl you think Jimmy would fall for. Not a girl with long, gorgeous hair like Blake Lively and slim figure like Kate Moss. She's totally average and I imagined Kristen Stewart as Sam. Kristen (on and off-screen) is shy and more to herself. I think she's the perfect Sam!

As for Jimmy, I imagined Liam Hemsworth as him. I loved the character! Humble and handsome. Though he's a celebrity, he's concerned about Sam and he's there for her. He even taught her how to skate better. As I read on, I came to realise that Sam's less shy around Jimmy. She slowly lets her guard down and is happier and comfortable to have J around. Cleo, Sam's sister is the the opposite of Sam. Just like magnets, their differences pull them together. Cleo's a great sister as well as a strong supporting character. As for the other characters, they're great too! Loved them!

All in all, this is a beautiful, icy tale that you must read! I absolutely loved the ending and I can say, it's one of the best endings that I've ever read. Good job, Lady B!

Merry Christmas, all! xx
